Project 1 - Be inspired.

So to start off my projects, I decided to look around my room and see if I could find anything which inspired me and that I thought might help me in my quest to be a modern Antoinette. I found some of these items and was pleasantly surprised.

I had never really looked at my room so closely before and I was pleased to notice the brass handles of my windows. I thought they were very reminiscent of the extravagant gold leaf of the time.These are some old perfume bottles that I stole from my mother a while back to paint. Although the results of the painting were atrocious, I still love these bottles. I feel I should tap them and they should make a twinkling sound like a chandelier.

A miniature bust of Josephine, Napoleon's wife, which I got as a souvenir when I was six! I desperately wanted a full size one but that would been a bit too extravagant, even for a modern Marie Antoinette. She may not be Marie, but I love her all the same and find her highly inspirational.
